Reader of the Week: our niece!

So, I was all set to write a blog post about Swiss Mister's birthday party:
The surprise guests flying in from Geneva!
The Swiss Mister chili fest!
The Amy Sedaris cupcakes! (Thanks for the vote of confidence, Sina.)
The traipsing around the city!
The playing of Settlers of Catan in our local!

But now someone else has had a birthday. It seems only fair to share the limelight, as Swiss Mister has had 33 birthdays to his credit, and this person has only had one, a birth[space]day, mind you, about five hours ago at her house in Toronto. Breaking news, people! We're nothing if not current at Swiss Mister and Miss!

Happy birthday! Can't wait to meet you and be properly introduced...once you have a name, of course. Congratulations, Keith and Alli, and happy big brotherdom, Callum.

PS Swiss Mister -- I'm so, so happy that you were born. I can't imagine you ever being that small, because you're a giant in my eyes. Love you lots and lots, and safe travels again until you are home again. (That's right, Bloggership: Swiss Mister can't stay away from der Schweiz! He's in Zurich right now, and then heading to the Fatherland (Dusseldorf, specifically). Right now he is eating a schnitzel. Time warp.)
