Back from London!

A lovely weekend was spent in London, visiting Little Miss Ruby and her parents Jon and Michelle. Ruby is a sweetheart, and she didn't mind too much when Swiss Mister and I practiced our baby holding technique with her. As you can see from the Ma- and Pa-taken photo below, she totally rocks the Swiss sleeper we sent. Orange is her colour.
We lucked out with some fabulous weather on Saturday (note the blazing sunshine in Picture 1!), so we took a trip to Holland Park, where we ran into Lord Holland himself. And the peacocks who call the park home.

Then there was the requisite trip to the pub, where Swiss Miss was allllmost the victim of a purse snatching! Swiss Miss and Co. sat down at our table, and this Miss, forgetting that she wasn't in Zurich anymore, slung her bag on the back of her chair. Bad idea. Two people sat down awfully close at the table behind her, and at one point she heard her bag fall to the ground. She picked it up and slung it back on her chair again (oh, Swiss Miss!), and it wasn't until an elderly gent tapped her on the shoulder and said, "That man was after your bag, but I caught him and he took off" that she realized her mistake. Bag was open, but nothing was missing -- the benefit of a having a purse chock-full of crap and a Moleskin notebook for a wallet. Here is Swiss Miss celebrating not being robbed:
We treated to a dinner at Anjali's house...the same Anjali who treated us to Easter dinner one year ago. A great way to spend a rainy Saturday night -- eating pizza, drinking wine, and basking in front of a fire. Ruby fell asleep only slightly before Swiss Mister, so we think she'll be in fine shape for the festivities in June.
