FOUND: one globetrotting carpet

Our carpet, which has been travelling around the world for the last month, finally made its way back to Europe! Not to Switzerland, though. No, that would be too direct. It had to go to Belgium (?) for four days (??) to get completely and utterly lost in a warehouse somewhere (!!!). Why didn't this latest adventure show up on our tracking schedule? Because our carpet had received a new and strange bar code during its impromtu Costa Rican vacation, making it all the more invisible to us and the highly disorganized people of TNT.

Swiss Mister was very concerned about the carpet, fearing the worst -- was it gone forever, a victim of Europe's equivalent of the Bermuda Triangle, the dreaded Belgian Quadrangle?

Eventually TNT realized that Belgium had oh-so-silently sent the carpet back to Switzerland...so it was, in fact, sitting in Zurich, crying out for rescue!

TNT doesn't usually carry packages to your door, but to help apologize for all the screw-ups they sent the smallest Swiss-German woman ever (more of an elf-lady, really) to haul our 26-kilo carpet up four flights of stairs. Check out the beast in its wrappings. Note the multiple stickers and taped-over sections.

Swiss Miss wrested the carpet from its TNT-stickered prison to reveal the carpet, in all its glory!!! We are happy to report that it totally matches our furniture. In fact, it really ties the room together.Welcome, Carpet! We are having a dinner party tonight in your honour! Let's pop the Prosecco! NO SPILLING!
