Workcess!

News of Swiss Mister's workplace successes have reached the homeland, but he still refuses to elaborate in blog form!

In an effort to cajole him, I will outline the particulars here...

Last week, Swiss Mister closed a very complicated, very important deal for THE ANONYMOUS COMPANY. After some celebratory Prosecco-drinking, his boss(es) brought him to the office floor, rang a hear ye hear ye nautical bell, and announced the following to everyone within belling distance: the contract that Swiss Mister negotiated was going to save THE ANONYMOUS COMPANY millions of dollars. Even better, it was the most money saved on a single contract ever!

Ding ding!

Ian graciously accepted the applause, then knocked off work at 3pm to make it to the class reunion in Lausanne -- we sped off into the Zug sunset driving Steffen's Porsche convertible (just to complete the mise-en-scène).

Swiss Mister, you are Reader of the Week!

  1. Hey, congrats, Ian! Now get them to pass the savings onto the consumers. Um...whomever it is you work for...

  2. Congratulations, Ian! That's fantastic. May your co-workers be filled with awe and respect for you, and not bitter resentment fuelled by jealousy.

  3. Bitter resentment is just another way of saying "motivation to improve."

And Jon, I'm no marketing genius, but I think consumers should be spending, not saving... ;)

  5. More importantly - do I PERSONALLY get some money? As in, maybe, in the mail?

    Maybe?
