Reports of our demise have been greatly exaggerated

Yes, we are still here. No, we did not forget you. Yes, we still love you. No, we have not started another, London -specific blog for all our copious new friends. No, we do not actually have copious new friends.

But, we do have some new London friends, and I am on the bus to their house for dinner tonight. TGIF. We have had a totally jam packed last two weeks, and are looking forward to a bit of a more relaxed weekend now.

So, a quick update on the past week: Sunday we said goodbye to Kathleen and Rob, and then went to Kristin's birthday party pub sunday lunch in Whitton. Monday, we went with the Missus' colleague Tim and his wife Karen to Secret Cinema, Tuesday we hosted Swiss Miss' publisher John and his wife Myrna for a really fun dinner at our place, Wednesday I met with a mortgage broker and he confirmed that we are still solvent (hooray), Thursday we went for dinner and drinks with Jennifer. Tonight we are on our way to Surbiton for dinner with Jayne and Tadgh as well as Tom and (American) Kristin, all friend we've made through Ronny and Paula.

The bad news is that yesterday we got the scary news that Swiss Miss' grandmother had a bad fall yesterday and is in the hospital, not in best of shape it seems. We are in watch and wait mode now, hoping that she will be ok.

In much more trivial news, I'm blogging from the iPad, trying out the whole "mobility" concept. Does it work? You tell me, Buster.
