There are certain things I miss about Switzerland, and that I really appreciate when I'm back. For instance, Swiss Air is unfailingly polite, and generally quite on time. They give you chocolates too. I don't eat them (mild food allergy) but I still appreciate the gesture. They also give you unlimited booze, even it's only a 1-hour flight, and it's 6am. No nanny state here. I also really appreciate the train system. It is clean, efficient, on time, and fairly cheap. They also sell beer and wine on the train.... I am beginning to detect a theme here, in the things I miss about der Schweiz. Another thing I miss are our friends. I am staying with Mathieu and Alessandra tonight in Zug, and looking forward to that. I'll get to hear about their honeymoon, and hopefully about Mathieu's new job (or not?)
So what do I not miss: silly things, like the tiny CHF4.90 tube of toothpaste, the harsh Swiss German accent in the morning, the smoking, the minarets (ok, I missed those even when I was here.)
And, I don't miss Switzerland, or living here. I miss London, even though I'm only gone for two days!
If you haven't already, you should book a trip to come and visit us in London. Ask Kathleen and Rob, Sarah M., Max and Alesha, cousin Molly, Carrie and Bruce, Morwenna (and Inder? Please, Inder?), Kathy and Chris and Rowan, maybe even Derek N. and Megan, if they ever get their act together and book something! London rocks, and rooms are going quickly. Book now to avoid disappointment!

Glad to hear you miss London (and, no doubt, Swiss Miss). We're looking forward to descending on you sometime in the spring.
