Happy Vatertag!

A photo homage to Ray/Dad and Bob/Dad

Ray's third eye... Ray is in the process of moving into (semi) retirement, but I doubt that camera will stay on the shelf for long...

Proving that, yes, taking public transportation can be an exhilarating experience in New York... Before this photo, the last time Ray was in a subway station was when he was dressed in an angel costume (complete with large white wings) and I was left to convince two burly police officers that he wasn't a menace to society.

Ray age 13, looking cool, and working that bicycle. When he comes to Zurich, I will be sure to outfit his two-wheeler with handlebar streamers!

Bob, on the other hand, is more of an outdoor guy. I never think of my dad in that way, but when I go through pictures, they all involve golfing, skiing, hiking, canoeing, swimming, etc. etc. Now perhaps there's a bit of a selector's bias in this assessment: I have never really followed my dad around at the office with a camera, snapping cool pix of hallway meetings, conference rooms, and morning GO Train rides. But, here's an outdoor homage, nonetheless...

First up, here are Bob and I, canoeing and then swimming. Can you spot Bob/Dad in the "swimming" picture?

And now, in his Darth Vater outfit, on a chair lift while skiing in Fernie:

Finally, here's him as GrandBob:

Happy Vatertag, Ray & Bob!

ps. Bob is not to be confused with "the other Bob."
