Happy 27th, Swiss Miss! This Mister loves you!
Most often, faithful blogoreaders, it is Swiss Miss who brings you good and interesting tidings from this foreign land. I am often off in the land of bacon, trying to bring it home for Swiss Miss and I to enjoy. There is a lot of pork in these parts, but bringing it home is surprisingly tough and tiring often times, and Swiss Miss does a better job than I, keeping everyone up to date on the wild and wonderful verld. And that is why, on this, her birthday, I want to tell her:
Hah-py Birs-day to you, hah-py birs-day to you!
This kid doesn't really know what his problem is. But, I think he has a legitimate problem...
But these people have real issues. OMG.
And last but not least, here's a little Stevie Wonder for Swiss Miss..... and 1.65 million other people!!! Holy cow, what has the world come to, when 1/5 of the population of Switzerland has watched such a terrible video as this one!
Swiss Miss, you rock. Better than Stevie.

Thanks, Swiss Mister! I'm reminded of fake happy birthdaying people in Lausanne with Stevie's song, trying (unsuccessfully) to get free beers from the MGM bar.
ReplyDeleteI've invited the angry German kid and Alex O'Loughlin to our dinner party on Saturday. I hope that's okay. I've also asked Brenda to ship the snowsuit.
Happy Birthday Possum, Faye tried to reach me all day after she e-mailed eith you. I've been Zooming around getting my stuff together to spend Time with Tanarindo Tara and of course Lane. (After all we have to eat) . Will be Zip Lining as soon as I get there amongst the Costa Rican jungle Canopy. Tara has 2 Aunties there at the moment. They look like her but are closer to my age..mmmm..... Apenny for my thoughts. Although as you are all aware I always thought they were worth much more. Im figuring a way to get all my stuff on the plane. Plan B- I am going to stuff some of it in my pants. Anyway will e-mail from Tamarindo and after with from Florida with Charles(Ice fishing is good there right now). Keep a few Francs aside in case I call re: Bail: (Don't forget the iron-clad Bail-Money Rule).
ReplyDeleteLove always and congrats on all the latest literrary notoriety. You might bump Polanski off the front page if this keeps up. XXOO
Happy B Day LB!
ReplyDeleteHope you got my small gift and that it made you smile. Hope your 27th is a fabulous and exciting year - a wedding and possible literary award will make it so! Can't wait to see you in April!
XO
Happy Birthday Laura! Looks like a great year for you as you're bursting onto the lit scene awards! Congrats all around!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I love the photo.
Thanks, Sina! I'm not sure if you can tell from the photo, but it has rhinestones across the chest! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry we missed you over the holidays -- how were your adventures?
Happy Birthday Swiss Miss. You look fabulous in turguoise.
ReplyDeleteHope you and Swiss Mister enjoyed a great evening out. A little concerned about the 'angry german' birthday greeting possible invitee. But am certain you can handle it.
Love to you both and Ray and family. Sounds like he is off for another ray adventure.
Hey, Ulrike! Welcome to the blog!
ReplyDeleteThat snowsuit gives new meaning to the word "turquoise." It is vintage Tremblant, from the 80s, and I think it's true -- some styles will never (cannot) die.
