Jungfraujoch: the photo essay (click to embiggen)

You can't have a Swiss visit without a little light mountaineering. So we took Brenda and Bob to Jungfraujoch, aka the Top of Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage area.

The train up stops inside the mountain at points, and the smart Swiss have blasted out photo-op windows.

First thing is first upon arrival: lunch. Here is the Crystal Restaurant we bobbled to, already feeling the affects of the altitude.

Then it was time for some adventure, Swiss-style. Note the flag. And the orderly tourists standing in line to take their picture beside said flag.

Family self-portrait. Here Ian is activating his go-go gadget arm.

We also went up to the Sphinx Observation Deck for new and higher vantage points.

Switzerland: even when you're foggy, you're picturesque. Check out the blue of the glacier!
