We here at Swiss (Mister and) Miss are pleased to announce the upcoming release of Basia Bulat's new album, Heart of My Own.
Swiss Miss went to grade school, high school, and university with Basia, and she has heard her sing in many venues (including Miss Anber's Chamber Choir practice room) and can vouch for her awesomeness as a performer. See for yourself, with this new and east coasty power folk tune, "Gold Rush":
(NOTE: if the display is a bit funny, you can also see it here.
To hear more and different Basia, try her MySpace page, which features an awesome cover of Sam Cooke's "Touch the Hem of His Garment," and more Basia Bulat originals.
Basia is embarking on a European tour that, unfortunately, does not include Zurich. You lucky Torontonians can see her, though: January 16, Trinity Church.

Dig it. Big time. But what of the old axiom "no bass no band?"
ReplyDeleteDid a certain bass-playing Matt put you up to this comment?
ReplyDeleteOften times Basia plays with a whole host of people...maybe she's downsizing?
