The weather was so nice, we couldn't resist a little break at noon: pretzels, beers, and sun loungers. Here are Max, Alesha, and Swiss Mister soaking up the rays.
It's ski holiday time in this part the world, but most people do a Saturday-Saturday week off. As you can see, the mountain was wide open. Lech is a "ring resort" (Austria is famous for them), and you can ski a loop around the entire (massive!!!) resort.
Naturally, you must break for lunch. Here, our afternoon picnique.
Lech, we salute you.
Although we were a little concerned: are there really THAT many men from the 1950s who are abducting young girls that you need a sign on the slopes???
(Swiss Mister and I took these snaps with our iPhones -- yes, plural. Swiss Mister is test-driving a friend's, and I see a purchase in the future. Notice the difference in picture quality...I attribute this to Swiss Mister's steady hands, and my iPhone's exposure to sunscreen and travel and abuse of all kinds.)
