Oons oons oons

Celebrate we did, though the torrents of rain made the festivities look less like that promotional video and more like a rocking refugee camp in the world's most livable city:

All this garbage was totally gone by the next morning.
Very Swiss.

Emergency blankets: requisite dancing gear.

Lights, dancers, umbrellas!

Also, plastic ponchos!

Paula and Ronny, friends of Dr. and Mrs. Whisky, were in town to check out their new city: in a case of bad timing, they are moving from London to Zurich just as we are moving from Zurich to London! We were happy to host and show them around town. Though they may look blurry and damp here, they are clearly smiling. A good sign, we think. We also took Ronny and Paula up the Uetliberg, to a couple lovely restaurants (and bars...), and we just generally hung out and had a great time. Thanks for coming to stay with us, guys! It's been far too long since the ol' Arbeitszimmer has welcomed guests... That's a hint to other friends: get here quick if you want the Zurich experience!!! Ian will be here for much of September, and much of that time he will be solo. Just saying...

Paula and Ronny -- next visit's on your turf: London here we come!
