We've also been having lots of fun! As advertised, Avenue Q was highly amusing:
We learned the following life lessons from this educational puppet-fest:1. Everyone's a little bit racist.
2. The more you love someone, the more you want to kill him.
3. The internet is made for porn.
Our Sunday was much more wholesome, with a family brunch Chez Our House with Jon, Michelle, and Ruby! The weather held for, you know, a good twenty minutes, so we strolled through Hyde Park. Ruby, a true Londoner, made sure to never lose her grip (mouth or hand) on an umbrella.

In the evening we met up with Ronny and Paula (the newest Swiss Mister and Miss, as of September 8) to toast the fact that they are, indeed, taking over our Zurich apartment! They kindly brought along some other North Americans, Kristin and Tom (new friend alert!), and we had a great time at Gordon's Wine Bar, which is thought to be the oldest wine bar in London...and possibly the world!

Today's a bank holiday in the UK, but not in Zurich: The Mister is on the phone right now, wheeling and dealing. I'm getting ready for my first day of work (tomorrow!). Soon we'll both be bringing home the bacon -- definitely necessary here in London!
Pip pip, and cheerio!

Good luck tomorrow LB!
ReplyDeleteI'm sending you best wishes and positive vibes, though you won't need them.
