You make your shopping list online, select your delivery time (we chose between 6.30 and 7.30pm, for the price of £4.99), and ta da -- groceries arrive at your door, packaged in colour-coded (freezer, fridge, cupboards) recyclable, returnable-to-Ocado-during-your-next-delivery bags .
It really is a marvelous little system. The groceries come from Waitrose, which, in the grocery hierarchy here, is at the top of the pile. However, they price-match with Tesco, the cheap option, on brand name goods.
We probably won't use them all the time, and we'll definitely buy our fresh produce ourselves, but with both of us working now and Swiss Mister's company car yet to arrive, this is clearly the solution that keeps our bellies full.
