People in Oxford live on these houseboats. Amazing and inexpensive real estate.

At the Oxford Commons (actual name of which I've forgotten), making friends with horses and ponies:

Christ Church College's dining hall, built in the 16th century. Nerd note: also Hogwarts dining hall in the Harry Potter movies.

Divinity School, Bodleian Library. Built in 1488, a masterpiece of English Gothic architecture. Nerd note: used as the Hogwarts Sanitorium in HP films.

Here's us after a pub lunch of fish and chips! Please notice Jonathan's height as compared to the height of the pub roof. (Also, Swiss Mister did an excellent job of getting the "toilets" sign in this photo. Thanks for that.)

If our lives were a sitcom, this was the special episode when everybody meets up in London...
Thanks again, guys. We'll be back soon!

I know that pub! I drank there!
ReplyDeleteIt also seems like you were on the "everyone stand and hug in front of the camera" trip. Oxford does encourage one to gather next to another for warmth.
We did try to get some pictures of us standing far apart from one another, arms crossed, but it was hard to fit everyone in the frame.
