We have just returned from our first official friend-date with Sarah (whom you might remember from this post), her boyfriend Tomek, and their friend Dario. We went to S&T's apartment, then cruised on our bikes to a lovely platz to drink beer and watch old men play petanque. A-mazing! We can haz friendz! Friendz who cruise on bikes and drink beer in parks! (It's like a little taste of home...)
S. is going to take me to her favourite flea market (shoes for 10CHF!), and we will go swimming in the summer, and hiking, and she will teach me German, and and and and...
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Yay for friend-dates! We wholly encourage drinking in parks, and making friends with anyone who also drinks in parks.
ReplyDeleteIn addition to my other book ideas (specifically, the ones discussed round the dinner table in London), I have yet another plan -- the Friend-Dating Guide! Hints and tips for meeting, friending (I'm going to trademark that), and, of course, breaking up. I'll need a snappy title, though... And, if the kids' sex ed book gets off the ground, possibly a pseudonym... ;)
