What happens in Zug...

Frankly, it often stays in Zug. Like this photo, which will obviously stay in Zug because no one will ever pay money for it.

Good lord.

First off, my apologies for the terrible picture quality. I snapped the picture on my cellphone, in haste and in secrecy, in a hallway of a professional photography studio in Zug this morning. I can't get pictures off my phone right now (technology 1, Ian 0) so I opened the picture on my phone, zoomed in to the maximum extent possible, and then took a picture using my camera's macro setting.

If you look just right, you can see the ecstatic woman on his t-shirt. Yes folks, wilkommen a Schweiz. Tres kul. (Imagine an umlaut above the "u" in kul.)

I was at the photo studio to get my picture taken for work; they will put my picture on the intranet company phone directory so people know what I look like, and keep it on file in case they need visas for me. So Euro. This is a decent synecdoche of my work: it's weird and different but it seems to make sense. So far I am not doing much beyond researching what different people do, and trying to understand what the hell is going on. Today I had my first transition meeting for a supplier whose relationship I will be taking over the management of. I would tell you more except that I don't know it yet! The best I can add is that I'm going to be doing some work in the "allergy space". I didn't put my experience with allergies on my resume, but somehow they figured it out anyways. Could be the pollen count... you never know.
